Asha walks through the garden carrying a bundle on her head in a traditional African-inspired pose. This figure is dressed in batik cotton in earthy colours & takes her name from the Arabic word for ‘woman’ & the Swahili word for ‘life’.

Asha stands on a metal base covered in ruffled jersey fabric with resin chips to give the impression of stony ground.
She is made from a jersey-wrapped wire frame & wears 2 types of batik cotton print in earth tones. The bundle she carries on her head is plain cream cotton filled with offcuts of fabric.
Suitable for indoor or year-round outdoor display. Please note that if displayed outdoors, some weathering may occur with age, adding interest to the patina.
